Late September

Trees, clouds, sea, sky,
a breeze, a certain quality of light,
all blended into fullness of feeling,
rather than perceived with one limited sense
like sight —
feeding the soul in this almost-October.

A Leprechaun’s Gaze

Loose ends were tied, the message sent

As I walked on in merriment

With ruddy arms I build a cairn

That lies a ways past yonder barn

.

One piece of gold I have in tow

My back faced to the winds that blow

This growing monumental mound

Will hide my grief on sacred ground

.

A daily prayer, a daily grind

A rock a day to ease my mind

To reach the sky! To find my love!

To live the dream I’m dreaming of

Why I love newspapers

Or is it newscreens, newswebs or newsnets?  I haven’t bought a paper paper in more than a year.  One of my fav’s, TOI, isn’t available at my local newsstand. What’s the newsstand guy going to do when we’re all reading digitally?
